Dear users,
A maintenance notice as of April, 2017.
We announce "The examinations for the new computer system
(Test in ADC analysis system) and "Your account update", too.
[The examinations (Test in ADC analysis system)]
From 5:00pm on March 29(Wed) to 9:00am on April 3(Mon)
- Users will be not able to login the computer system during the period,
- User's sessions will be disconnected for rebooting the system.
- For the examinations, we would like to use NFS disk area.
Therefore, "we will clear (delete) user data in /mfst02a area".
[Periodic Maintenance]
Date: April 3, 2017 (Mon) 9:00 -- 21:00 (JST)
- The periodic maintenance will start continuously after the
examinations.
ADC analysis system is unavailable due to the periodic maintenance.
Open-use PCs and plotters are partially available during the maintenance.
- The analysis system will be available as soon as the maintenance
finished.
"/mfst01a" and "/mfst03a" partitions will be corrected the file system
during the above period.

The application deadline is 31 March (Fri), 2017 15:00(JST)

[Suspension of "Periodic data deletion"]
The periodic data deletion in the local and the NFS disk area is
suspended for the correction of NFS file system.

[Note]
- About use of computer resources
We are checking whether or not users are hogging computer resources
(CPU core, memory etc.) for a long time.
The prolonged occupation of computer resources may cause a disturbance
to other users' work, mostly due to concurrent heavy processing on
servers.
To avoid the above situation we will provide a warning to users.
In addition, please consider using a batch processing system and check
the current status of the server to avoid causing server over-use.

多波長データ解析システム ユーザの皆様
2017年4月度の定期メンテナンス関連事項を連絡いたします。
なお、年度末作業（各種調査、試験）および、アカウント更新の
リマインダーも併せて連絡させて頂きます。
[年度末作業 (各種調査、試験)]
2017年3月29日(水) 17:00 〜 4月2日(月) 9:00
・上記期間、多波長データ解析システムはユーザログイン不可になります。
・システム再起動も伴いますので、セッション・作業等は停止されます。
・作業のため、NFS ディスク領域を使用させて頂きたいと考えています。
そのため「/mfst02a 領域をクリア（データ削除）」させて頂きます。
[定期メンテナンス]
日時：2017年3月6日(月) 9:00 -- 21:00 (日本時間)
※年度末作業から引き続き、メンテナンス作業になります。
サーバ・ワークステーション 停止 (定期メンテナンス)
ユーザの方々にはご迷惑をおかけしますが、宜しくお願いいたします。
共同利用PC と大判プリンタの一部は、メンテナンス中も利用可能です。
※メンテナンス作業が終了次第、システムは利用可能になります。
なお、上記期間（3/29(水) 17:00 〜 4/3(月) 21:00) の間に、
/mfst01a と /mfst03a 領域のファイルシステム修正も実施します。

[注意点]
・計算機リソースの使用について
対話型解析サーバ (anam*, anah*) において、少数のユーザで多くの CPU,
メモリ等の計算機リソースを長時間占有する事例が確認されております。
そのような状況は、他ユーザの作業に影響を及ぼしたり、処理集中による
サーバ等への不具合の原因になりますので、当該ユーザに対して注意／警告
等を出す場合があります。また、そのような事態を避けるために、バッチ
システムの利用や、リソース使用状況の確認をお願いいたします。
