About the user data migration in replacement

Dear users,
This is the information about backup of the user data accompanying
shift to a new system. It was decided that the supplier of the next
system would be FUJITSU. The carrying-in work of devices has
already started. The full shift day of a system is planning
March 1, 2013.
In Astronomy Data Center, backup of user data is not performed in
principle. Please make sure to backup your data.
In addition, although it is also examining preparing the domain for
backup before system migration, at present, it cannot guarantee.
Please back up by preparing a hard disk etc. by each one.
The migration work of a system goes smoothly, and when the copy
of user data is possible, immediately after being ready, it is due to
announce a little early. Please be careful of future information.

解析システムユーザの皆様へ、
解析システム移行に伴う、ユーザデータのバックアップに関する
お知らせです。次期システムの納入業者が富士通に決定し、現在
は機器搬入作業が始まっております。システムの完全移行は
平成２５年３月１日
を予定しておりますが、ユーザデータについては原則、天文デー
タセンター側でバックアップ作業は行いません。各自でバックアッ
プを行って頂きますよう、よろしくお願いいたします。
なお、システム移行前にバックアップ用の領域を用意することも
検討していますが、現時点では保証できるものではありません。
各自でハードディスク等を用意するなど、環境を準備しバックアッ
プされるよう重ねてお願い申し上げます。
システムの移行作業が順調に進み、移行前に新システムへユーザ
データのコピーが可能な場合は、決定次第早めにアナウンスをす
る予定です。また、移行作業の日程などについても、順次お知ら
せしていく予定ですので、今後のお知らせにご注意ください。
ご理解、ご協力よろしくお願い申し上げます。
