多波長データ解析システム利用者のみなさま、

お知らせしていますように、多波長データ解析システムの機器リプレースを実施
予定です。現行の機器は2024年6月末頃に稼働を終えて、2024年7月に新システム
の運用を開始いたします。
#### ユーザファイル移行作業のお願い ####
新システムへ切り替え後、現行システムのホーム領域や作業領域(/lfs*, /wk[m,h]*)
に置かれたファイルにはアクセスできなくなります。
必要なファイルは、事前にユーザご自身による新システムへの移行作業が必要です。
!!! 新システムの大容量作業領域が現行システムから利用できるようになりました !!!

[ユーザファイル移行手順について]
新システムへのファイル移行には、下記のふたつのディスク領域をご利用ください。
ホーム領域の引き継ぎには2段階が必要です。
(1) /ext_nfs[1-3] 領域
現行システムでもご利用頂いている本領域は、新システムでも引き続き利用できます。
本領域の各領域の quota(1ユーザ当たりの割り当て上限)は 10TB です。
(2) /lwk 領域 (新大容量作業領域)
現行システムの /lfs*, /wk[m,h]* に代わる作業用ディスク領域として、新システム
では /lwk が使用できます。総容量は約 4PB です。
新システムの運用開始に先行して、/lwk 領域が現行システムからもアクセスできる
ようになりました。
/lwk 領域の quota は 30TB です。
- ホーム領域の移行について
ユーザのホーム領域は新システムに引き継がれません。新システムのホームは初期状態
となります。ホーム領域以下の個人設定やデータなどのファイルは、必要に応じて一旦
上記の領域に保管して(パーミッション設定等ご注意ください)、新システム稼働開始後
に、新しいホーム領域へ再度移動してください。

新旧システムの切り替え作業は6月末頃に実施予定です。
数日程度のシステム停止期間が発生するかもしれませんのであらかじめご了承ください。

As we announced before, the system replacement of the MDAS is scheduled soon.
The current equipment will cease operation around the end of June 2024, and
the new system will begin operation in July 2024.
#### Request for User File Migration ####
After switching to the new system, files placed in the current system's home
and work areas (/lfs*, /wk[m,h]*) will no longer be accessible.
Users must migrate the necessary files themselves to the new system in advance.
!!! A large volume work area of the new system is now available from the current system !!!

[User files migration steps]
Use the following two disk areas to migrate files to the new system.
Two steps are needed to carry over your home area files.
(1) /ext_nfs[1-3] area
This area, which has been used in the current system, will continue to be
available in the new system.
The quota for each of these areas is 10TB.
(2) /lwk area (New large volume work area)
In the new system, /lwk is available as a working area instead of /lfs* and
/wk[m,h]* in the current system. The total disk size is about 4PB.
Prior to the launch of the new system, /lwk is now released and available
from the current system.
The quota for this /lwk area is 30TB.
- Migration of home area
The user's home directory will not be carried over to the new system.
The home of the new system will be provided as an initial state.
If necessary, keep your personal settings, data, and other files under
the home directory in the above area (please be careful with permission
settings, etc.). Transfer them to the new home area again after the new
home becomes available.

The work to switch between the old and new systems is planned around
the end of June. Please note that there may be a system downtime period
of several days.
