Guidelines for maximum CPU resources available to a single user

To keep the system healthy and all users comfortable with limited system resources, we have established the following general guidelines.

A single user can use

Please note that even if within the guidelines, the administrator ask you to stop the process or may force stop the user process when there is a problem with the system due to concentration and congestion.

If you want to do long-time processing or processing that requires a lot of resources, please consider using the Large-scale data analysis system (registration required).

To check the current system resource usage, see the following page or use a command such as 'top'.

About quota settings for hard disk space

There are quotas for disk space that users can use for data analysis work.
Please refer to the User's Guide for the quota setting values for each area.
If you need to temporarily use more disk space (i.e. increase the quota) to analyse large amounts of data, please contact us.

Periodic data deletion

Periodic data deletion for the work disk area is not currently performed.
In the future, periodic deletion of old data may be carried out, targeting disk areas with high usage.
If the data deletion is to be carried out, the registered users will be notified in advance.
